I enjoyed parts of the trip but I had several issues with the overall planning and execution.
First off, the driver was excellent.
The guide, Greg, was not. His English was limited and he didn't always understand the question being asked. He did not teach us often enough. His delivery was very hesitant.
Communication between him and Steve and the rest of us was poor. Especially at Chefchaouen. The lead time for a tour or a stop was too short for us to prepare.
Also, we never knew until the last minute whether we would be doing a city tour by bus or on foot.
The time spent in the bus was too long. We could have broken the journey by staying an extra night somewhere, e.g at Rabat.
"Lunch on our own" usually means we are free to shop for food on our own - not all be taken to a restaurant and paying for our own meal.
I did not like being taken to the huge restaurant/hotels for coffee break. We were only 12 and could have gone to a smaller , more intimate, cafe.
The stay in the desert was wonderful - too short a time though.
The hotels were all excellent.
It would have been nice to meet some local people, although I felt safe enough to walk around on my own and talk to people.
